About Us

What is a Consultant Forester?

An independent professional forester who is a graduate from an accredited university with at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry. His primary income is generated from timber management for private landowners.

Why Pay For a Consultant When Free Management Is Offered?

Nothing is free! Someone pays. Unfortunately, private landowners who fall into this “something for nothing” trap pay more than they ever realize through lost income. This is done primarily by removing their timber from the competitive market or by failing to recognize a product’s potential to bring a higher price in a different market (e.g., selling $50 sawlog as a $6 pulpwood tree.)
As your consultant foresters, we are not paid for our services until your timber is sold. Through competitive bidding and personalized management, the commission we charge is more than offset by the increase in profits our services provide.

Why Do I Need A Consultant Forester?

If you’re like most landowners, you want to get the most money for your timber. In order to do this, you need an independent consultant forester that is not affiliated with any timber buying entity.
By being independent consultants, we inspect your stand of timber to determine what will make you, the landowner, the most money now and in the future. As your private forester, we have a vested economic interest in your timber. Based on sales we’ve conducted, our clients averaged a 23% increase in income after our fees were paid compared with sales landowners made directly with timber buyers.

How is this accomplished? – A typical stand of timber can yield as many as eight different products, each having a specific use in today’s complex market. Depending upon the grade of timber, soil types, location and accessibility, each product’s value may fluctuate as much as 50% over a 12-month period. One can easily see the rewards of knowing what to sell and when to sell it.
